Hello Everyone! I am excited to finally be able to introduce my daughter here on my blog. It was a long 42 weeks, but she is finally here! She was born on September 13th, at 9:49 AM at 6 lbs 3 oz.
I won't go into my labor and delivery story at this moment, but I will mention that she sustained a birth injury and thus couldn't be brought home from the hospital when I was discharged. So, it has been very tough, emotionally and physically, but I am beyond grateful that she is home, healthy, and thriving!
So far, I have been experiencing the 4th trimester to the max. She is now one month and one week old, but it's still pretty chaotic and new to us, so I extended my maternity leave, and therefore, will not be going back to work until next year. It was a tough decision to make since I basically love my job and working, but her health and supporting my husband and new family comes first.
I will definitely be making blogs about this 4th trimester, Aki's condition, postpartum anxiety and depression, and of course, the administrative and economic side to having a baby (The mountains of paperwork have been ridiculous).
